AR Analyst - Collections & Cash Application

Responsibilities

• Manage a large portfolio of high-dollar customer accounts and prioritize collection efforts
• Proactively contact retail and distributor accounts to secure payment commitments
• Post daily cash receipts including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and portal payments
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve chargebacks and trade deductions via customer portals
• Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain to address deduction drivers

Requirements

• 0–5 years of accounts receivable, collections, or cash application experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP or SAP preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for high-stakes conversations
• Ability to manage large portfolios of high-dollar balances independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with customer deduction portals like Walmart Retail Link or Amazon Vendor Central
• CPG, beverage, or retail/distributor channel experience
• Knowledge of EDI transaction sets and trade promotion deduction practices
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies
