Aquatic Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all athletes and guests by serving as a lifeguard and following established protocols.
• Instruct aquatic fitness classes and swim technique lessons in various formats.
• Assist with center operations including reception, registration, and marketing promotions.
• Respond to inquiries regarding pool policies, procedures, and programs.
• Maintain facility standards by performing pool water testing and cleaning.
• Organize and maintain deck fitness and swim school equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to provide a safe, welcoming, and positive guest experience.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
• Ability to swim and lead water fitness classes.
• Ability to perform water rescues and carry out emergent life-saving processes.
• Availability to work afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sports management, aquatics, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a fitness instructor specializing in aquatic exercise.
