About the role

Responsibilities

  • Initiate QRQC in QIM database and participate in containment and robustness validation
  • Support APU and Site Managers in analyzing issues assigned during QRQC activities
  • Update APU quality tracking charts, including Customer Returns and Cost of Non-Quality
  • Perform line audits to detect non-compliance with standards and identify necessary corrective actions
  • Participate in the eradication of customer and non-quality issues
  • Ensure adherence to quality rules during APU QRQC meetings
  • Perform revisions of control plans following quality issues
  • Verify 4M matrix compliance regarding product or process changes and ensure customer approval
  • Verify continuous process conformance to ensure products meet specifications via machine capability and product audits
  • Exercise authority to stop manufacturing or assembly lines if safety, quality, or standards are compromised
  • Represent the customer within Valeo on quality matters, including communication and escalation
  • Manage PD, CA, and closure for internal supplier incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or a technical discipline
  • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the automotive industry or a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with multiple steps in the PPAP process and utilizing APQP
  • Experience directly or indirectly with the IATF 16949 quality standard
