A&P/Sheetmetal Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
• Determine if components should be repaired or replaced and secure necessary parts
• Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies
• Follow approved maintenance procedures using FAA-approved internal procedures and OEM technical data
• Inspect completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
• Perform serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
• Complete work package documentation and sign off on designated operations
• Account for time and materials used in all maintenance activities

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
• Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in aircraft repair, maintenance, or overhaul
• 1+ years of recent depot level aircraft maintenance experience
• Proficiency in interpreting OEM technical data or work package instructions
• Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools
