Apps Development Sr Manager VP

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more Applications Development teams to accomplish established goals and drive system analysis and programming activities.
• Lead application development and solutioning for Collateral Management and Margining systems within Citi Global Wealth Management.
• Partner with product, risk, and operations stakeholders to support the delivery of new projects and application activities.
• Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes and industry standards.
• Champion production sustainability, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and application stability.
• Drive deployment activities in coordination with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient application rollouts.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members to foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions and implement continuous process improvements in code quality and reliability.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience in Applications Development or systems analysis within the Financial Services industry.
• Proven experience as an Applications Development Manager in a senior-level leadership role.
• Extensive expertise in Core Java and the Spring framework (Core, Boot, etc.) with a focus on microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of distributed messaging and database technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Oracle, Redis, or MongoDB.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, source code management, and quality analysis tools.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies and scrums.
• Strong analytical, design, and communication skills for translating complex requirements into technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on coding experience in Python.
• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Lending, Credit Risk, Margining, or Collateral Management.
