Apprenticeship as Operating Room Assistant (OTA)

Responsibilities

• Plan, assist, and prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery
• Manage various organizational processes within the operating department
• Perform tasks in outpatient clinics, endoscopy departments, and central sterilization

Requirements

• Medical certificate of health suitability
• Realschulabschluss, equivalent educational qualification, or higher
• Alternatively, Hauptschulabschluss with two years of vocational training or qualification as a nursing assistant
