Apprentice/Graduate Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Participate in the SAMpeople Payroll Academy training program
• Execute high-volume administrative inputs including employee variables and timesheets
• Cross-reference new starter and leaver information to flag anomalies
• Assume progressive autonomy over small portfolios under supervision
• Participate in daily in-person team stand-ups and collaborative problem-solving

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of data accurately
• Methodical approach to spotting data errors or compliance issues
• Highly motivated by an in-person office environment
• Strong active listening and communication skills
• Baseline conceptual awareness of AI and automation principles
• High digital literacy and tech-minded approach
• Coachable mindset with a desire for professional growth

Preferred Qualifications

• School leavers or university graduates (any degree background)
