Apprentice Utility Arborist

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris
• Feed brush into a woodchipper
• Assist in site set-up and take-down, including equipment handling
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety
• Perform physically demanding manual labor in various weather conditions
• Support a positive team environment and adhere to safety protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Valid First-Aid and CPR certificates
• Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work in noisy environments
• Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment
