About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders
- Provide substitute teaching coverage within the school
- Potentially teach individual classes or small groups of students
- Plan and deliver instruction with increasing responsibility
- Support students through daily one-on-one and small group tutoring
- Observe Master Teachers to improve instructional and management techniques
- Meet regularly with instructional coaches to implement feedback
- Assist teachers with assessments, grading, and classroom responsibilities
- Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards
- Supervise students during transitions, meals, and afterschool activities
Requirements
- Talented individuals with limited or no prior teaching experience
- Ability to participate in annual three-week staff orientation and training
- Commitment to professional development and regular coaching sessions
