About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders
- Provide substitute teaching coverage within the school
- Support students through one-on-one and small group tutoring
- Observe Master Teachers to improve instructional techniques
- Meet regularly with coaches to implement feedback
- Assist teachers with instruction, assessments, and grading
- Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards
- Supervise students during transitions, meals, and afterschool
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a College or University
- Drive to improve the lives of students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Commitment to the mission of educating urban students
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and be extremely reflective
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in schools or urban communities
