Apprentice Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, assembly, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Help perform preventive maintenance on machines and mechanical systems
• Support technicians during machine breakdowns and repairs
• Assist with dismantling, repairing, and reassembling mechanical components
• Use various tools including spanners, grinders, drills, and measuring tools
• Inspect machines to identify wear, damage, or mechanical faults
• Read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical diagrams
• Lubricate and maintain gears, bearings, pumps, conveyors, and motors
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with safety regulations

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Mathematics and Physical Science (recommended)
• N2–N6 Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools
• Ability to work in an industrial environment
• Physical fitness and technical/practical ability
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
