About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and extending system-level models in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape/Stateflow or SystemC/TLM-2.0 for hardware–software co-simulation
  • Set up and run experiments to measure PPA metrics including latency, throughput, utilization, energy, and power
  • Implement and calibrate entry-level power models using specifications, RTL activity, or measured data
  • Contribute device/IP models, bus/interconnect behavior, and software workload integration within virtual platforms
  • Automate simulations, parameter sweeps, and regressions using MATLAB or Python
  • Perform basic sensitivity analysis and design-space exploration to highlight architectural trade-offs
  • Support the correlation of model results with RTL simulation, emulation, or silicon measurements
  • Maintain clear documentation of modeling methodology, interfaces, and KPIs using version control (Git)
  • Collaborate with senior researchers, system architects, and verification teams to iterate model fidelity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid fundamentals in digital logic, computer architecture, and embedded systems
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Simulink
  • Proficiency in C++ or familiarity with SystemC/TLM concepts
  • Familiarity with Python for automation and data analysis
  • Understanding of PPA (Performance, Power, Area) basics
  • Basic familiarity with HDLs such as Verilog or VHDL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Simscape, Stateflow, or Embedded Coder
  • Experience with co-simulation and interoperability standards like FMI/FMU
  • Knowledge of PPA tooling and methods (e.g., PrimeTime-PX, Joules, or CACTI)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
  • Awareness of automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262
