Apprentice Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using tape measures and hand tools
• Pull electrical wire and cable in conduit using manual and power equipment
• Install electrical raceways, lighting fixtures, controls, and distribution equipment under supervision
• Operate power tools including drills, saws, pullers, and tuggers
• Demonstrate safe work habits and comply with company safety requirements
• Perform night or weekend work and travel out of town as required

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, or one or more years of related experience
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work from various heights
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as manholes, tunnels, and crawl spaces
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and a tool belt at all times
