Apprentice Electrician

Responsibilities

• Learn to install electrical services including lighting, socket circuits, domestic rewires, and heating systems
• Carry out day-to-day repairs, fault finding, and troubleshooting of electrical issues
• Inspect and test electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance standards are met
• Attend a day release programme at a local college to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in a supervised environment
• Build professional working relationships within a strong support network

Requirements

• GCSE English grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• GCSE Maths grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• Valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
• Strong timekeeping, attendance, and professional communication skills
• Ability to reside within a commutable distance of the Somerset region (recommended within 30 miles of TA4 4RF)
• Legal right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship
