Rabot builds vision AI for warehouse packing operations. Our systems observe physical processes through cameras, run inference on edge devices, and deliver real-time feedback to human operators. We are a venture-backed company solving hard problems at the intersection of AI, physical systems, and software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and redesign abstractions across the technical stack, including internal tools, edge systems, and AI models.
• Model system behavior formally, including latency bounds, throughput limits, and failure modes.
• Act as a cross-functional bridge between hardware and software engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to replace heuristics with AI models within the product and development workflows.
• Use AI tools as a core part of the workflow for implementation, exploration, and validation.
• Ship production-ready code that reaches customers.

Requirements

• Deep training in abstract reasoning (Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, or related).
• Ability to formalize messy engineering challenges into precise constraints and abstractions.
• High AI fluency, using AI tools as thinking partners and implementation accelerators.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex proofs and concepts to engineers.
• Proven ability to deliver work into production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computer vision, perception systems, or signal processing.
• Background in optimization, control theory, queueing theory, or information theory.
• Familiarity with edge computing constraints (memory, power, compute).
• Experience deploying AI/ML models in production.
• Research output or publications demonstrating original technical thinking.
