Applied Scientist (Integrity)

Responsibilities

• Join the Integrity team to protect the platform from fraud, misuse, and to validate high-quality expert participants.
• Shape the problem space by working with cross-functional teams to find, validate, and model useful signals for participant quality.
• Build practical ML and statistical systems that turn promising research approaches into production-ready solutions.
• Define clear hypotheses, experiments, and metrics to solve loosely defined product or customer problems.
• Proactively identify problems worth solving and drive them toward resolution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience applying ML, AI research, or data science to real-world problems.
• Deep expertise in an applied ML, statistics, or data science specialism (e.g., risk modeling, LLM detection, or reinforcement learning).
• Proficiency in Python for building, testing, and iterating on working prototypes independently.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured experiments and actionable insights.
• Strong judgment regarding the use of simple statistics versus complex ML or LLM-based approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience working closely alongside product and engineering teams to deploy models.
