Applied Scientist

Responsibilities

• Research and develop state-of-the-art algorithms for autonomous voice agents, focusing on real-time speech processing and reasoning loops
• Advance DialpadGPT by designing distributed training strategies for agentic behaviors, tool use, and instruction following
• Conduct rigorous evaluation and monitoring of model performances and troubleshoot business impacts
• Design and implement orchestration layers to chain LLMs with external tools and APIs
• Work with large-scale multimodal datasets (text, audio) to improve model robustness
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deploy scalable, low-latency models
• Submit papers to top-tier academic conferences like ACL, EMNLP, and NeurIPS

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related field
• 2+ years of industry experience (for Master's) or 1+ years (for PhD) in ML/NLP
• Deep understanding of LLMs, including training, fine-tuning (PEFT/LoRA), and alignment (RLHF/DPO)
• Experience with Agentic Systems, tool use, function calling, and reasoning chains
• Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch
• History of publishing in top-tier conferences (ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICASSP)
• Familiarity with Git and version control

Preferred Qualifications

• Multimodal awareness, specifically with speech technologies (ASR, TTS) or real-time audio streams
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
