Applied Scientist

Responsibilities

• Convert product problems into machine learning problems
• Build systems that optimize conversion, engagement, and revenue using various strategies
• Build simulation and evaluation frameworks for optimization systems
• Develop experimentation, causal inference, and measurement frameworks
• Build models for personalization, ranking, targeting, and allocation
• Detect opportunities for automated gains across customer programs and analyze performance
• Build a single optimization system across multiple product lines

Requirements

• Experience building production machine learning systems end-to-end
• Strong statistics fundamentals and practical judgment with real-world data
• Experience with ranking, optimization, personalization, bandits, or recommendation systems
• Experience working in growth or conversion teams
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical problems to the team
