Applied Science Manager, Healthcare AI

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a world-class team of Applied Scientists and ML Engineers
• Set technical direction and research strategy aligned with business goals
• Drive innovation in medical administration reasoning systems, AI agent design, and medical coding
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into production-ready solutions
• Manage project portfolios and resource allocation to improve clinical and administrative workflows

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing scientists or machine learning engineers
• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience building ML models or developing algorithms
• Deep knowledge of Machine Learning, NLP, Information Retrieval, and Analytics
• Proven experience in applied research
• Proficiency in programming with Java, C++, or Python
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building complex software systems involving deep learning and computer vision
• Experience delivering machine learning models for business applications to customers
• Background in building speech recognition and natural language processing systems
