Applied Research Scientist

Responsibilities

• Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI and GenAI to continuously elevate technical capabilities
• Collaborate with universities and engage in inter-disciplinary research
• Guide and support junior researchers and engineers
• Support engineering teams in building enterprise GenAI platforms using LLMs
• Design and implement robust, cloud-native solutions, preferably on Azure
• Fine-tune LLMs, enhance data retrieval, and optimize prompt engineering and agent plans
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Neuroscience, Robotics, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development and deploying ML/GenAI applications
• 5+ years of research experience in multi-modal systems, neuro-symbolic AI, agents, or reinforcement learning
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in Azure
• Advanced proficiency in Python and libraries like PyTorch, Tensorflow, or JAX
• Experience with LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Meta
• Familiarity with GenAI frameworks like LangChain or DSPy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure AI services
• Proven track record in top-tier AI conferences (AAAI, ICLR, Neurips) or NLP/CV venues
