Applied AI Lead

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and own high-value AI opportunities across Compliance, Risk, Support, Finance, GTM, and Product
• Build and ship internal AI tools, copilots, and workflow automations
• Own projects end-to-end from workflow mapping and architecture through implementation and iteration
• Build core applied AI infrastructure including retrieval pipelines and tool integrations
• Establish quality, governance, and safety standards for AI in regulated workflows
• Drive adoption through documentation and training with business teams

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applied AI systems (workflow automation, retrieval-based systems, agentic patterns)
• Fluency with modern AI tooling, LLM APIs, prompt design, and orchestration
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern full-stack development
• Ability to translate ambiguous stakeholder needs into scoped solutions
• Strong product sense and operational judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payments, compliance, fraud, or risk
• Experience driving internal AI adoption or enablement
• Experience as an early engineering hire or zero-to-one builder
• Experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake or dbt
