Applied AI Engineering Intern

About the Company

Limetax is building the operating system for the €20B German tax advisory industry. We acquire established tax advisories and transform them into high-performing, technology-enabled businesses by applying AI to real workflows and data.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve document intelligence systems for processing tax documents at scale
• Develop and iterate on retrieval-based systems using LLMs and RAG
• Build and ship data pipelines that power ML and AI workflows in production
• Contribute to prediction and suggestion systems such as booking proposals and anomaly detection
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve AI systems running in real production workflows
• Collaborate with founders, engineers, and domain experts to translate processes into AI solutions

Requirements

• Currently studying Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience building at least one end-to-end project (e.g., LLM app, ML pipeline, or data system)
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on builder mindset with interest in real-world, high-stakes environments
• Ability to work with messy, real-world data
• Strong ownership and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript
