Responsibilities

• Build AI agents and automations end-to-end from scoping to deployment
• Write production Python code to integrate LLM APIs into real workflows
• Connect AI tools with Zello's systems (Slack, Jira, HubSpot, Snowflake) through APIs
• Monitor deployed agents in production by tracking quality metrics and triaging failures
• Manage human reinforcement operations and maintain feedback loops
• Build and maintain evaluation harnesses to measure agent quality programmatically
• Create reusable components, patterns, and documentation for the team

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional experience in software engineering or AI engineering
• Proven experience writing production Python code for tools, integrations, or automations
• Practical understanding of LLM APIs, prompt construction, and context management
• Experience integrating systems via APIs, including handling authentication and rate limits
• Strong focus on quality, testing, and building monitoring systems
• Ability to decompose complex problems into clean, well-defined components
• Comfortable with operational ownership and maintaining production systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tool-use patterns and reasoning about token economics
• Ability to quickly pick up new frameworks and APIs
