Applied AI Engineer, Ops

Responsibilities

• Identify high-impact automation and AI opportunities across the business
• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions including LLM-based workflows
• Partner with teams across Alloy to translate pain points into scalable technical solutions
• Champion AI adoption through enablement sessions and internal tooling
• Establish best practices, tooling standards, and frameworks for AI solutions
• Operate the internal stack like a product, running experiments and continuous improvements
• Measure and iterate on the impact of shipped solutions

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) in production
• Strong engineering fundamentals with proficiency in Python
• Experience with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom pipelines)
• Business-minded approach focused on ROI and impact
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward shipping

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ops, revenue operations, or business systems
• Familiarity with data tooling such as SQL or dbt
• Background in a fast-growing startup environment
