About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of application engineers supporting nuclear power generation customers and projects
- Provide technical leadership for the selection, sizing, specification, and application of valves, actuators, and related equipment
- Serve as the primary technical resource for customers, sales teams, and nuclear utilities
- Review customer specifications, engineering requirements, and regulatory standards to develop compliant technical solutions
- Support proposal development, bid reviews, technical presentations, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project management teams to ensure successful execution
- Mentor and develop application engineering team members while driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in customer meetings, technical conferences, and industry events (periodic travel of 10–25% required)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in nuclear power generation, power plant equipment, or industrial automation
- Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and plant operations
- Experience with control valves, isolation valves, safety-related valves, actuators, and associated control systems
- Experience reviewing technical specifications, drawings, P&IDs, and engineering documentation
- Strong customer-facing and technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing engineering teams
- Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance programs and regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting commercial nuclear power plants, SMR technologies, or nuclear EPC projects
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes applicable to nuclear and power generation equipment
