Applications Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of system improvements for the Platform 2 system
• Develop and implement technical solutions for specialized application needs, such as lifting apparatus or weather stations
• Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external vendors to source high-availability products
• Work with engineering and deployments to refine site requirements into deployable systems
• Define handover materials and processes to move new solutions into sustaining operations

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies (Masters and PhD students also eligible)
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software systems
• Experience in data collection and analysis
• Strong project management skills including creating timelines and leading meetings
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors at test sites for hands-on development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading data sheets, layouts, or schematics
• Proficiency in CAD skills
