Applications Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support by responding to customer questions regarding RF and microwave products
• Perform preliminary evaluations of customer requests for new products and collaborate with marketing and engineering teams
• Visit customers to promote new products and discuss technical issues
• Coordinate opportunities with sales representatives and customers
• Prepare application notes, spec sheets, and technical documentation for new or revised models
• Review and approve sample data and technical documents
• Assist in training new department members and defining department goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 years of experience in Applications Engineering, OR a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 1 year of experience
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and oral communication)
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive for extended periods
• Ability to pass the Ishihara color blindness test
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including some overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Keysight's Advanced Design System (ADS)
• Proficiency with RF test equipment
• Experience designing and supporting RF components such as transformers, splitters, couplers, bias-tees, and mixers
