About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and commercial support for Corning’s optical communications products to key customer accounts
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer inquiries, evaluating new requests against existing capabilities
- Collaborate with global account leaders to build relationships within customer engineering and operations organizations
- Analyze product performance, including reliability and yields, to report findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Work with internal operations and engineering teams to identify strategies for cost reduction and performance improvements
- Lead or participate in regional efforts for new and next-generation project development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Optical Communications, Fiber, or Co-Packaged Optics preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor or a related industry
- Proven experience in customer engagement, including interaction with technical or commercial leadership
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Ability to work effectively within a highly-matrixed organization and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment
- Strong fundamental understanding of optics and optical systems
- Knowledge of reliability engineering and product/process change management
- Experience managing globally-based, multi-disciplinary teams
