About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain manufacturing and operational applications to support factory execution, quality management, and production workflows.
- Develop and support MES applications using Tulip or similar low-code/no-code manufacturing platforms.
- Create intuitive operator and technician interfaces to improve usability and reduce process variability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions and automated workflows.
- Support integration between manufacturing systems and enterprise platforms such as ERP, PLM, and quality systems.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to provide real-time operational visibility and production insights.
- Design and implement automated data collection, validation, and reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, and data-related issues to support continuous factory operations.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing, implementing, or supporting business or manufacturing applications.
- Knowledge of database design, data structures, and best practices for managing production data.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), application deployment, and support processes.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or manufacturing software platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across technical and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MES platforms such as Tulip, Ignition, or FactoryTalk.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems like ERP or PLM.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and automation tools.
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., Aerospace, Medical Device) and familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100.
