Application Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to provide coverage for critical systems and coordinate post-mortem analysis
• Monitor systems for availability and performance while assisting in the design of a unified monitoring platform
• Diagnose production problems and resolve or escalate issues as they occur
• Document relationships between business requirements and supporting technologies
• Create and maintain playbooks for failure scenarios and disaster recovery planning
• Communicate issue status to technology personnel, business leaders, and senior management
• Assist with basic programming tasks including automation, reporting, and code testing

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise-level application monitoring, alerting, and response
• 3+ years of experience supporting a workload orchestration platform (e.g., ActiveBatch, JAMS, AutoSys)
• Working knowledge of T-SQL and Python
• Broad understanding of enterprise and cloud technology, including networking, OS, and cloud infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
