Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide second- and third-line technical support to business users and stakeholders
• Manage incidents, outages, and problem resolution following ITIL standards
• Utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python to drive operational efficiency
• Manage new system analysis, vendor upgrades, and technical client onboarding
• Act as a liaison between the technology department and business groups to communicate system changes
• Maintain high-quality process and trading system documentation
• Identify and implement new process improvement opportunities
• Complete exchange reporting and compliance audits in accordance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Solid background in Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems
• Proficiency with database technologies including SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and VBA
• Experience in Financial Services, ideally within energy markets and trading technology
• Strong understanding of trading, clearing, and settlement flows (Futures and OTC)
• Experience with ITIL and change management processes
• Proven ability to work under demanding conditions with a calm, systematic mindset
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Trayport and Equias systems
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Knowledge of market connectivity protocols for global derivative and commodity markets
