Application Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical and machine learning models from scratch, including exploratory analysis, data preparation, training, and validation.
• Maintain, review, and optimize existing models to identify errors in data, logic, performance, or model degradation.
• Design, configure, and operate analytical pipelines in GCP using Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer (Airflow).
• Implement and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient ML architectures within the Google Cloud Platform.
• Resolve production incidents, pipeline failures, and integration issues within the GCP environment.
• Collaborate with data, technology, and business teams to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives.
• Propose improvements regarding performance, costs, reliability, and data governance.
• Document models, processes, and pipelines to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, analytical models, or machine learning.
• 2–3 years of proven experience working with GCP in production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, and ML libraries).
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with BigQuery optimization.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Vertex AI, Cloud Composer, and Dataflow.
• Intermediate to advanced technical English (reading and comprehension of technical documentation).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Knowledge of model monitoring and GCP cost control.
