Application Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure the continuous, stable, and secure operation of the BASE24 platform in mission-critical environments.
• Manage transactional services for ATM, POS, and e-commerce to ensure business continuity and service quality.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external technical teams across multiple work cells.
• Manage incidents, problems, and maintenance activities while adhering to strict SLAs and quality standards.
• Identify operational risks, deviations, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Act as a technical liaison between software factories, business units, and administrative areas.
• Ensure compliance with payment ecosystem standards, including ISO 8583.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience working specifically with BASE24.
• Strong knowledge of switching and transactional routing (authorizations, reversals, clearing, and adjustments).
• Experience with HP NonStop / Tandem environments, including Guardian, OSS, and PATHWAY.
• Proficiency in Enscribe and/or SQL-MX.
• Understanding of EMV technology (chip, tags, ARQC, ARPC) and issuer/acquirer models.
• Knowledge of payment media (ATM, POS, e-commerce) and ISO 8583 messaging.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (conversational and technical).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BASE24 Classic, Screen COBOL, TACL, and ENFORM.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture, distributed switching, and APIs.
• Proficiency with tools such as BlueZone and Keymonitor.
