Application Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used from factory floors to mission control
• Create and evolve applications to improve spacecraft design, building, and operation
• Partner with engineers and business leaders to design efficient solutions
• Build and evolve prototypes into working product features
• Own full-lifecycle feature development from inception to deployment
• Contribute to software features, bug fixes, and engineering excellence
• Mentor staff members and help build strong engineering practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Math, STEM, or 1-3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development, platform engineering, or API development
• 1+ years of experience with AWS
• 1+ years of experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD)
• 1+ years of experience with Git and Docker
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes (preferably AWS EKS)
• Experience with static typed languages such as C#.NET, Go, or Java
• 1+ years of experience with structured databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake)
• 1+ years of experience with unstructured databases (NoSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• Experience with REST API or gRPC
• Experience with infrastructure orchestration tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js, React, or Angular
• Working experience with TypeScript
• Experience with testing tools such as Cucumber and Cypress
• Foundational knowledge of scalable, high-performance software systems
• Knowledge of build systems and package management tools
