Application Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Secure web and mobile applications and APIs by performing security reviews and testing
• Identify vulnerabilities and collaborate with engineering teams on remediation efforts
• Support the security of AWS and GCP environments, including access reviews and network security
• Review cloud and infrastructure configurations to identify and fix misconfigurations
• Support incident investigations by reviewing security logs and alerts
• Contribute to security guidelines, standards, and the continuous improvement of the company's security posture

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Application Security or Product Security roles
• Practical experience securing web applications and APIs with a solid understanding of OWASP Top 10
• Experience in threat modeling and performing secure code reviews
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization flows
• Knowledge of secrets management and the prevention of credential leaks
• Working knowledge of IAM, networking, logging, and storage security
• Experience using security scanning tools including SAST, SCA, DAST, and IaC scanning

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP security
• Experience working in Fintech, Banking, or other highly regulated environments
• Basic understanding of logs and the use of SIEM tools for alert triage
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI DSS
