Application Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for food and beverage projects from bench-top to commercial scale.
• Provide technical and application support to customers to accelerate development timelines.
• Liaise between Technical, Sales, Customer Care, Quality, and Operations teams to meet project needs.
• Manage and resolve strategic and sensitive customer issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the marketing department on prototype development and product displays for trade shows.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, documentation, and monthly project metric reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all SOPs, GLPs, GMPs, and regional regulations governing colors.
• Work with Production and Quality/Regulatory departments to implement changes to new and existing products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related area.
• 2 to 5 years of related experience in food applications (experience in beverage, snacks, or meat is preferred).
• Proven experience with color or ingredient applications.
• Ability to travel up to 40% for in-person customer visits and technical guidance.
• Strong knowledge of SOPs, GLPs, and GMPs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and group presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree (MS) in Food Science or a related area.
• In-depth understanding and practical experience with production and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with statistical reporting, analysis, and cost/benefit analysis.
