Application Manager, Vice President

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior lead in Securities Finance initiatives, designing and developing scalable software applications.
• Participate in scope definition, requirements analysis, and functional/technical design following Agile SDLC.
• Design and develop robust software leveraging ReactJS, Springboot Java, and SQL within an AWS environment.
• Manage application developers and analysts across different geographies to achieve implementation milestones.
• Provide hands-on coding, coaching of junior staff, and technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data sources, operational processes, and data dependencies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to provide recommendations for improving the technology stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 10-15 years of experience in software development and design.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS concepts and deployments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as MQ or Kafka.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and adaptive software development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, mutual funds, or the securities industry.
• Experience with continuous integration, build processes, test automation, and deployment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing technical documentation and user guides.
