About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior lead in Securities Finance initiatives, designing and developing scalable software applications.
- Participate in scope definition, requirements analysis, and functional/technical design following Agile SDLC.
- Design and develop robust software leveraging ReactJS, Springboot Java, and SQL within an AWS environment.
- Manage application developers and analysts across different geographies to achieve implementation milestones.
- Provide hands-on coding, coaching of junior staff, and technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data sources, operational processes, and data dependencies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies to provide recommendations for improving the technology stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- 10-15 years of experience in software development and design.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS concepts and deployments.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as MQ or Kafka.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and adaptive software development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, mutual funds, or the securities industry.
- Experience with continuous integration, build processes, test automation, and deployment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing technical documentation and user guides.
