Application Manager - Trading

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of trading applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance
• Act as the second-line (L2) owner for production incidents and conduct root cause analysis
• Plan and coordinate platform releases with Cloud, engineering, and delivery teams
• Support institutional clients through platform integration and conformance testing
• Configure and maintain platform and application settings
• Manage tickets and prioritize the backlog for production issues and improvements
• Ensure the platform adheres to security, regulatory, and compliance requirements like DORA
• Maintain comprehensive platform documentation and a current knowledge base

Requirements

• 5+ years operating or managing production-grade trading or financial technology platforms
• Proven experience in production incident management and root cause analysis
• Experience coordinating releases and change management across technical and vendor teams
• Strong understanding of API-based integrations (FIX, REST, WebSocket)
• Working knowledge of trading systems and order management workflows
• Proficiency with ticketing and backlog management tools like Jira
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to financial markets (e.g. DORA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital asset or cryptocurrency infrastructure
• Exposure to market making or low-latency/high-frequency trading environments
• Experience with Confluence-based documentation
• Background in client or vendor onboarding and integration testing
• Understanding of custody, wallet infrastructure, or post-trade systems
