Application Engineering Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical leadership for critical software and middleware projects, ensuring successful architecture and implementation.
• Apply deep backend expertise to optimize performance, ensure secure architecture, and enhance system scalability.
• Approve technical solutions, resolve complex problems, and act as a key technical liaison with stakeholders.
• Mentor staff, establish technical standards, and drive the adoption of emerging technologies and continuous process improvements.
• Oversee comprehensive testing for functionality, performance, and security while ensuring compliance with IT and Information Security policies.
• Troubleshoot complex system performance issues and optimize data flow across services and APIs.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/BCA) or Master's degree (MCA) in Computer Science or IT.
• Expert-level programming skills in Java, SpringBoot, and Python.
• Expert-level understanding of AWS Services (including DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, ECS, and CloudFormation).
• Expertise in API security protocols such as OAUTH and OKTA.
• Strong experience with event-driven architectures and system design for enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with observability tools (Splunk, CloudWatch) and Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TDD/BDD and test automation tools like Cucumber.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub CoPilot, Claude Code) to improve development processes.
• AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or Solutions Consultant).
• Experience with Node JS and Angular.
