Application Engineering Technical Lead II

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical leadership for critical software, middleware, and cloud-native projects.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AWS cloud-native solutions focusing on high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Act as a technical owner for product solutions, driving architecture, implementation, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior developers through coaching, high-quality code reviews, and technical leadership.
• Troubleshoot complex system performance issues and optimize data flow across services and APIs.
• Partner with architects and business stakeholders to deliver resilient and maintainable backend functionality.
• Drive continuous improvement in technical standards, methodologies, and the adoption of emerging technologies like AI.
• Ensure compliance with IT and Information Security policies across all technical deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in software architecture and system design for enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong full-stack development skills including Java, Python, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular JS/React).
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform services and cloud-native solution design.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure automation, and automated testing.
• Experience with modern data patterns and both relational and non-relational database technologies.
• Demonstrated success leading key components of mid-to-large scale implementation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Golang and Spark/Scala.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and observability tools.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve engineering effectiveness and code quality.
