Application Engineering Technical Lead II

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical leadership for enterprise backend systems, driving architecture, design, and implementation using Java Spring and Node.js.
• Define and evaluate technical solution options to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud fundamentals.
• Design robust system and API architectures, documenting trade-offs, scalability, and integration patterns for distributed systems.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring secure SDLC practices and high-quality, compliant solutions.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, including code quality, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Lead performance optimization initiatives to enhance application performance, database efficiency, and API responsiveness.
• Mentor and guide engineers on design principles, coding standards, and modern development practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis to optimize data flow across services.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Expertise in software architecture, system design, and technical leadership for enterprise applications.
• Strong programming proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and Angular.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (including CloudFormation, ECS, Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, and IAM).
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or Solutions Consultant).
• Experience implementing observability practices such as logging, metrics, and tracing.
