Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex tenders and create technical and commercial offers
• Calculate projects within the water transport, piping, and plant engineering sectors
• Analyze and evaluate tender documents and create bills of quantities
• Develop technical alternatives and economic special proposals
• Create budgets, cost estimates, and sound pricing structures
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor offers in coordination with project management
• Advise planning offices, construction companies, and end customers on technical and commercial issues
• Support project handovers to ensure a smooth transition into the implementation phase

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, or Process Engineering) or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in tendering, calculation, or bid management for infrastructure or plant engineering projects
• Sound knowledge of water transport systems, such as pumps and piping systems
• Experience in civil, plant, or piping engineering
• Proficiency in handling tenders, bills of quantities, and technical specifications
• Fluent German and good English language skills
• Structured, analytical, and independent working style
