Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
• Architect and guide the integration of complex data flows across distributed services, APIs, and platforms.
• Drive performance and scalability enhancements by optimizing database architecture and implementing high-efficiency design patterns.
• Design and build multi-step, multi-agent systems featuring task decomposition, state tracking, and event-driven execution.
• Develop autonomous workflows and agents capable of invoking APIs, querying databases, and interacting with enterprise tools.
• Mentor and train less experienced staff while providing subject matter expertise in software development methodology and architecture standards.
• Ensure compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies, including implementing guardrails to prevent prompt injection.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in application development, system architecture, and database management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building autonomous workflows and orchestrating AI agents.
• Deep understanding of embeddings, vector search, RAG pipelines, and grounding LLM responses in enterprise data.
• Proficiency in deploying scalable agent systems on AWS or Azure using containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with industry-leading AI platforms such as MS Copilot, AWS Bedrock/Quick, Claude Suite, or UIPath.
• Strong coding skills for implementing orchestration logic, handling asynchronous workflows, and error handling.
