Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers
• Monitor and perform patching/upgrades to Linux servers and AWS instances
• Assist and incorporate security compliance controls
• Support documentation of non-applicable controls
• Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software
• Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure
• Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete hardware
• Document inventory changes

Requirements

• TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• Security+ certification
• Proficient with Linux (minimum 3 years experience within the last 3 years)
• Proficient with AWS (minimum 1 year experience within the last year)
• Proficient with Ansible (minimum 1 year experience within the last year)
• Minimum experience based on education: 10 years (HS/GED), 8 years (Associate), 6 years (Bachelor), 4 years (Master), or 2 years (Doctorate)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salt
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with Elasticsearch or Splunk
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python
