Application Engineer, SPR

Responsibilities

• Provide technical field support to new business development managers by evaluating customer-specific applications.
• Conduct technical presentations to educate customers on Self-Piercing Rivet (SPR) joining capabilities and design requirements.
• Work closely with customers to specify SPR equipment and ensure requirements are met through final implementation.
• Manage engineering programs from concept to design buyoff, ensuring on-time completion and customer satisfaction.
• Develop engineering solutions using digital virtual simulation and apply engineering principles to the development process.
• Oversee order entries, BOM accuracy, and product training in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
• Drive joint development projects to establish joining methodologies for new materials and products.
• Manage large or critical projects and maintain guidelines for all joining and fastening processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of project management or related experience in project execution.
• Proven experience within the automotive industry or a similar sector.
• Experience with automation products or electro-mechanical products preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on customer advocacy.
