Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain the organization's software application repository using industry best practices.
• Manage technical teams (1-3 direct reports) and coordinate with indirect collaborators (11-30 people).
• Plan and coordinate the provision of business-critical systems and applications required for operations.
• Collaborate with external teams such as Architecture, Testing, and Software Engineering to execute application-related projects.
• Evaluate and recommend new software products and services, including negotiating contracts with vendors.
• Manage the software inventory and ensure technical documentation and implementation meet functional requirements.
• Oversee project execution using methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in technology management and vendor coordination.
• Proven experience in application implementation, development, releases, and technical project tracking.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe).
• Technical knowledge of infrastructure including Linux, Windows, web servers, and network topologies.
• Familiarity with development technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, .NET, Java, JS, C#, API Manager, REST/SOAP services, or Oracle ERP.
• Availability to travel 1 to 5 days per month.
