Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Appian development tasks and application deliverables within client project workstreams
• Design and build Appian process models, interfaces, records, and expression rules
• Translate business requirements into practical, maintainable Appian solutions
• Create clean, intuitive user interfaces for non-technical end users
• Support integrations between Appian and other business systems, including database-backed applications
• Execute test cycles and maintain accurate technical documentation
• Act as a technical contact for clients to communicate progress, risks, and issues
• Identify opportunities for application and performance improvements

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business & Information Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• 2–4 years of hands-on Appian or low-code development experience
• Appian certification (Associate or higher) is required
• Strong working knowledge of Appian process models, records, interfaces, and expression rules
• Solid database knowledge, with SQL Server experience preferred
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating applications with external systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in English (business-fluent or native)

Preferred Qualifications

• Background knowledge of Java, SQL, or scripting languages
• Experience with UI-focused design principles
