Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product support to the organization, dealers, and customers
• Support the bid function and assist with product-related project planning and scheduling
• Maintain configuration workbooks with the latest features and options
• Research and follow through on features and options to ensure proper configuration documentation and BOM data availability
• Ensure pricing and cost data is available and consistent with pricing guidelines
• Gather and maintain configuration support information, such as dimensional characteristics and weights
• Collaborate with Product Managers to identify new option candidates for standardization
• Support regional and international sales technicians and dealers as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred (0-2 years of experience) OR an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing processes, including costing and price analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of fire rescue vehicles
• Experience with configuration workbooks and continuous improvement processes
