Application Engineer, Principal

Responsibilities

• Work within the post-silicon validation team to validate collaterals for customers designing SoCs with Qualcomm IPs
• Collaborate with the IP team and Post-Silicon Validation teams to qualify Qualcomm IPs
• Participate in the post-silicon validation of in-house test chips
• Drive technical communication with customers from project kick-off through silicon bring-up
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve customer issues during integration, simulation, implementation, and silicon bring-up
• Provide technical expertise through training, product demonstrations, and quality support

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Post-silicon validation
• Hands-on experience with bench test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, and Vector Network analyzers (VNA)
• Experience in Functional Testing and ATE debug
• Experience in IP Validation for interfaces such as USB, PCIe, Serdes, or UCIe
• Proficiency in automation languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Experience leading a small team (3-4 members) is a plus
