Application Engineer IV

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
• Architect complex data flows across distributed services, APIs, and platforms to ensure enterprise-level interoperability.
• Drive performance and scalability enhancements by optimizing database architecture and implementing high-efficiency design patterns.
• Direct business assessment and requirements analysis for hardware and operating systems.
• Mentor and train junior staff while providing subject matter expertise in software development methodologies and architecture standards.
• Ensure the viability of IT deliverables by recommending design, build/buy, and vendor purchase options.
• Conduct thorough testing, including functionality, technical limitations, and security.
• Manage the elevation of code into development, test, and production environments while providing production support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in application development, system architecture, and database management.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end system design and technical architecture.
• Expertise in Backend APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (continuous integration and deployment).
• Knowledge of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices.
• Experience with observability tools, including monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
